Married With No Health Insurance

Married With No Health Insurance (1)

Married? Take a health cover

For a married person, the welfare of the family comes before everything else. Being able to see your kids growing well and healthy is the joy of any married person. While this is everyone’s expectation, it does not always happen like this. In many cases, situations that were not planned for, for instance illnesses that arise, may disrupt one’s normal way of life. In such situations, a person who had not planned for such events may end up frustrated. It is, therefore, important to have a well-laid out plan in preparedness of such.

Planning for contingencies

Health Insurance (1)When one is married it is expected that they will bear children. While that is expected, one may not know whether they will be around to support the kids as they grow up. There are various situations that may arise making one completely unable to support their kids. Situations like loss of job, illness, disability or even death may make it almost impossible for one to support their family. This is the reason why one needs to get a health insurance possible to support them during such hard times.

In the case of an illness, the insurance policy will ensure that you do not spend a lot of money on treatment. When a member of the family falls ill, a health insurance policy will take care of the medical bill partly or wholly. Whichever the case might be, it undoubtedly helps reduce the burden that the family has to bear.

When to startMarried With No Health Insurance (2)

The best time to take up a health policy is even before one gets married. This is so as to prepare one for the responsibilities ahead of them. Apart from this, having stayed with the policy for some time, it becomes quite easy for a health insurance company to process claims with a client with whom they have a relationship as and when they arise. Waiting until one has kids to take a health insurance policy may not be wise as sickness or even can occur at any time. It is, therefore, important to ensure that the future of the kids is not adversely affected by what happens to the parents.

The importance of a health insurance cover to a married couple can never be overemphasized. It is, therefore, important for anyone who intends to marry or is already married with no health insurance cover to take up one. While taking a cover, care must be exercised to ensure that the cover one takes will suit their needs.
